Why is DT Max not showing on federal schedule 4 the amount of dividends that was transferred from my client's spouse?

The amount does not appear on schedule 4 but it is reported on line 120 of the federal return. Therefore, the problem does not affect the calculation of the tax return.

As a workaround, access a tax plan and add the keyword Dividends with the amount of dividends transferred in the file of the taxpayer who is receiving the dividends. Then, calculate the return and print schedule 4. If you are paper filing the return, replace schedule 4 from production with the schedule 4 you printed in the plan. If you are efiling the return, there are no further steps to take since this information is not transmitted electronically with the tax return.
